Day One Agenda: (16:00 - 17:30) 

Our goal for the first day of our content is to provide attendees with insights on the latest challenges in sustainability, tech and policy in Paris, France and the EU to inform our interactive workshop and activities on Day Two.  We will also invite insights from attendees to inform ideas to present back to the entire Deeply Human Summit audience.

• Transform society and infrastructure to achieve IEEE Planet Positive 2030 which means: Reducing GreenHouse Gas (GHG) emissions to 50% of 2005 emissions by 2030 and significantly increasing regeneration and resilience of earth’s s ecosystems; effectively to be well on the path to achieving net zero GHG emissions by 2050 and negative GHG emissions beyond 2050, that is, to be planet positive.

• Identify the current technological solutions that need to be deployed widely as well as technology gaps for which we need to design, innovate and deploy new technological solutions to reach IEEE Planet Positive 2030.
  

Our Compendium document, Strong Sustainability by Design: Prioritizing Ecosystem and Human Flourishing with Technology-Based Solutions, frames our overall thinking and Guiding Principles such as Guiding Principle #5: The regenerative imperative and a circular economy: 

Thinking, planning, and action must broaden beyond current economic, business, societal, and resource utilization models to achieve sustainability and for people and the Earth’s biosphere to flourish for many generations to come. Future economic, societal and cultural, and business models should emphasize new public imperatives and values such as circularity, ecological regeneration, zero waste, and human flourishing and well-being.
